Ca del Bosco celebrates Italy-Japan 150th Anniversary

by Heidi Chan

Ca del Bosco launched ‘Franciacorta Cuvees Prestige' in Japan, in commemoration of 150 years of diplomatic ties between Italy and Japan.

"Festa Italiana" so-called the best Italian heritage festival was held in Tokyo earlier this year. Approximately 1,500 Italian restaurants took part in the food and wine campaign with support from a great number of reputable international brands including Franciacorta pioneer Ca del Bosco. Diplomats, government officials and their guests alongside the media gathered at several ocassions got to sip this lovely bubbly, there have been so much interest around the story behind the making of wine bottle sticker - a custom label that features a special message indicating the century-old connection between the two nations. Japan has a long-standing relationship with Italy dating back to the Meji period (AD1878). It was thought that such print and sculpture technology was actually being intoduced into Japan from Italy back in that time.

'Franciacorta Cuvees Prestige’ is available in Hong Kong via our online store.
