Vegan-friendly Wines from Cuvees.com Portfolio

by Joseph Luk

This message to the team from one of our colleagues, Vinod, was so helpful, I had to share this with everyone!

I recently got a request from a client asking which of our wines are vegan-friendly, after researching online I have found that the below wines/brands from our portfolio are vegan-friendly, please see the below for your reference:

  • Braida Brachetto d'Acqui, Piedmont, Italy
  • Poplar Grove Merlot, Okanagan Valley, Canada
  • Poplar Grove "The Legacy", Okanagan Valley, Canada
  • Laughing Stock, Okanagan Valley, Canada (all wines)
  • Norman Hardie, Prince Edward County, Canada (all wines)
  • Siduri, Sonoma, USA (all wines)
  • Owen Roe, Oregon, USA (all wines)
What makes a wine vegan? The only time when wine interacts with non-veg components is when they are fining the wine (aka removing sediments / protein), proteins from Egg White or Fish Bladder are used. Alternatively, vegan-friendly winemakers will use Bentonite (clay material) instead of the aforementioned to fine the wine. Not all wines are fined/filtered though. Read more here!
