Canada Wine Day - another occasion to drink Canadian wine
Last Friday, Cuvees took part in a consumer sale event co-organised by the Consulate-General of Canada in Hong Kong & Macao and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. It appears to be the first government-funded initiative aimed to raise the Canadian profile and promote the country's alcoholic beverages to the local drinking community. Approximately 150 guests and visitors turned up for the event for a bit of the tasting, concurrently celebrating the opening of CanCham's new office location in Wanchai. We were very glad to hear from different groups including corporate clients, foodservice buyers, wine educators and consumers said that they really enjoyed the event and the tasting was great.
Let me recapitulate the wines that we had showcased at the tasting:
- Quails' Gate Chardonnay 2011 (2011 & 2012 sold out, 2014 currently available)
- Norman Hardie County Chardonnay Unfiltered 2012
- Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2013
- Pearl Morissette Cuvee Madeline Cabernet Franc 2012
- Osoyoos Larose Petales d'Osoyoos 2012
- Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin 2012
- Peller Estates Signature Series Riesling IceWine 2012
