| This brilliant vintage of Chateau Trotanoy is a deep ruby-purple color, with aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis and tobacco. The palate is full-bodied and structured, with a perfect balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of black cherry, cedar and spice. A classic Bordeaux that will drink beautifully now or continue to develop over the next decade.
| ''Showing better than it did from barrel, the 2006 Trotanoy does have one consistent characteristic that seems to be pervasive no matter what the vintage's style and personality is. '' (Robert Parker 2009)
