Francois Voyer Cognac XO Gold Exception Grande Champagne, France (500ml)
Agency label
| Grapes: | Ugni Blanc |
| Type: | Cognac |
| Region: | Grande Champagne |
| Alc.: | 40% |
| Composition: Blended eaux-de-vie 20 to 30 years old.
| Ageing / Blending: Distilled with the lees, it ages in new Limousin Oak casks with a medium interior toast for 3 years. The ageing process continues in old barrels in a damp cellar. A progressive reduction is made, with distilled water (max 1 to 2% of diminution each year) using the 'faibles' technique.
| Color: Ruby / brown with a hint of mahogany.
| Bouquet: The intense floral notes are indelibly stamped over the wood and spices tones. The long years spent in oak casks have harmonized this cognac and given it what we call rancio charentais the characteristic bouquet of a distinguished old cognac.
| Taste: Outstandingly elegant and subtle, the woody taste has dried fruit and vanilla hints in the finish. A noble Cognac, giving a long lasting and sophisticated finish on the palate.
| How to Enjoy: Leave it warming in the glass for at least 10 minutes to allow the bouquet development. Sip it slowly and relish the complexities of its flavors.
